In 2009 La Familia Gallery attended Aqua Art Miami, its first major art fair. The experience brought strong art sales, excellent industry contacts and multiple special invitations to additional international and national art fairs.
With a multitude of opportunities on the table, the already successful artist run gallery decided to expand its regular programming to include 2 - 3 fine art fairs per year for those artists interested in the opporunities associated with these events.
The La Familia Art Fair Cooperative, as it has become known, is designed to provide fifteen to twenty emerging and mid career artists with the opportunity to present their work to top national and international collectors. Members of the Art Fair Cooperative are innovative artists who have been invited to participate based on the quality of their work, commitment to their careers and commitment to the cooperative concept.
